Cyber Security and Information Technologies

IT continues to be one of the fastest-growing fields in America. Technology keeps growing and changing at a rapid rate, and it doesn’t show any sign of slowing down — which means we don’t either.

At Monroe’s School of Information Technology, you can earn a degree in:

  • Computer Network Architect
  • Computer Network Support Specialist
  • Systems Analyst
  • Application Developer
  • Webmaster
  • Database Administrator (DBA)
  • IT Business Analyst
  • Cyber Data Analytics Expert
  • Computer Forensic Specialist
  • Homeland Security Consultant

Monroe’s IT students have landed internships at companies like Amazon, Google, Verizon, and the New York Times. They really get to see what it takes to keep up with the pace of change; and they meet the challenge every time.

We know you can too. You’ve got the drive to keep up — let us put you on the right path.

I entered Monroe from a career and technical education High School in Queens, New York. When I started with a networking class there, I immediately fell in love with the subject and want to continue that during my time in college. I looked at computer science programs and computer engineering programs, but none of them were actual information technology. Monroe was one of the only schools I applied to that had that kind of coursework and curriculum that actually led you into the IT field. During my time at Monroe. I also worked as an Information Systems Engineer for a small IT consulting company based out of Fort Washington, New York. During that time, I use the skills that I learned at Monroe to help me in my work. The faculty and professors here at Monroe college have been absolutely outstanding To me, the professors were also working in the real world at the same time, so they like to incorporate that into their lessons as well. After Monroe. I'm pursuing graduate school at Carnegie Mellon University where I'll be majoring in Information Security Policy and Management. I would eventually like to become a policy analyst for the United States government working in the cybersecurity field. As the daughter of immigrants and a first generation college student. I really would like to see others succeed in my community and show my community that there can be something more that someone who came from the same background as them is able to succeed and give back
